Search Engine Ranking Factors: Using Keywords (Article 1 of 5)



Use of Keywords in the body text (3.7)
The use of a keyword in the visible HTML text on the page is important, provided that processed in a natural way. The use of semantic variations of a keyword is preferable to aim for a high keyword density. A too high keyword density may even have a negative effect on the ranking.
